Language Access

By law, all City agencies must produce and post a plan to increase language access for non-English speakers. These policies include the translation of essential public documents and signage, interpretation services, language access contracts and training of language access coordinators. The goal of the FDNY is to enhance communication with the public by offering services in more languages.
