No Garbage, Recycling or Organics Collection or Street Cleaning in Observance of Christmas Day on Wednesday, December 25

The New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) announced today that in observance of Christmas Day, there will be no garbage or recycling collections, or street cleaning on Wednesday, December 25, 2013.
In addition, all Sanitation Department administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the holiday.
- Residents who normally receive Wednesday garbage or organics collection should place their trash and organics materials out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Wednesday for pickup.
- Those receiving Wednesday recycling collection will have their recycling pick up delayed until Thursday, January 2, 2014 due to the consecutive Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. All recyclable material should be placed curbside after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 for pickup.
