West 249th Street and Independence Avenue

Thirsty at night? Some pollinators are, like the shy bat. Luckily for the bat, species like mango, cacao, banana, guava, and agave rely on bats to pollinate their flowers. Take part in an interactive project painting nocturnal flowers in fluorescent colors to add to a night-garden, “glow room” installation. Then make a furry, handmade, paper-puppet bat to fly in the dayglo garden for a nectar feast at night. Pollinators Weekend event.

Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.
