Breastfeeding

The Nursing Department at Queens Hospital Center sponsors the Breastfeeding Support Group and Clinic for anyone interested in learning about breastfeeding. Participants will have an opportunity to share experiences with other breastfeeding mothers, or be seen on an individual basis, have questions answered by a certified lactation consultant and gain more information about breastfeeding. By participating, you can prevent common breastfeeding problems as well as enhance and prolong your breastfeeding experience.

Breastfeeding mothers and their babies should attend. Family members and anyone else interested in learning about breastfeeding are also welcome. Recently delivered mothers and their babies are given a first appointment before leaving the hospital.

The Breastfeeding Support Group and Clinic meets every Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in Room 151 of The Pavilion at Queens Hospital Center. There is no fee.

For more information or to participate, please contact Annabelle White, BA, RN, IBCLC, Breastfeeding Coordinator/Childbirth Educator, at (718) 883-3502.
