MAYOR GIULIANI ANNOUNCES PROGRAM FOR THE WORLD TRADE CENTER
FAMILY MEMORIAL SERVICE SET FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28TH

Andrea Bocelli and Andrew Lloyd Webber Set to Perform During Program

Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani today announced the program for The World Trade Center Family Memorial Service that will begin at 2pm, Sunday, October 28th on Church Street, between Vesey and Cortland Streets, in Lower Manhattan. The service, which is not open to the general public, is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.

The service will begin with a processional, with musical accompaniment by the Orchestra of St. Luke's, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by Police Officer Daniel Rodriguez. The Invocation will be offered by His Eminence, Edward Cardinal Egan, Archbishop of New York.

Andrea Bocelli will sing "Ave Maria," accompanied by the Orchestra of St. Luke's, Christopher Eschenbach, conducting. A prayer by Imam Izak-El Mu'eed Pasha, Resident Imam, Masjed Malcolm Shabazz, Chaplain of the New York Police Department, follows.

Next, violinist Ilya Gringolts performs "Raisins and Almonds" followed by a Reflection offered by Rabbi Joseph Potasnik, Vice President, New York Board of Rabbis, and Chaplain of the New York City Fire Department. "Amazing Grace" will then be sung by Renee Fleming, with the Orchestra of St. Luke's accompanying, Christopher Eschenbach, conductor. A musical offering, "Let Us Love In Peace," will be performed with lyrics by Ben Elton; Andrew Lloyd Webber, piano; Shonaugh Daly, vocals; Orchestra of St. Luke's, David Caddick, Conductor.

The Benediction will be offered by the Reverend Franklin Graham, CEO, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, followed by a musical offering of "Pieta', Signore," with Andrea Bocelli; members of the Juilliard Choral Union, Judith Clurman, Conductor; Orchestra of St. Luke's, Christopher Eschenbach, conductor. The program will close with "God Bless America," sung by Renee Fleming, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's, followed by the Recessional with the Orchestra of St. Luke's.
