Benefit Card Assistance

If your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card for Cash Assistance, SNAP benefits (also known as Food Stamps) or Medicaid is lost, stolen, or defective you can get a replacement.

If you make your request online or by phone it will take from 7 to 10 business days for you to get your replacement card. Replacement cards can only be mailed to the address on record.

If your card includes SNAP benefits or Cash Assistance you can call EBT Customer Service at (888) 328-6399 to:

  • Check your EBT card balance.
  • Change the PIN number for your EBT card.
  • Request that a replacement EBT card be mailed to you.
  • If your card is for Medicaid only you can call the Human Resources Administration’s Medicaid Helpline at (888) 692-6116 to replace a card that is lost, stolen, or defective.

In-person Same Day Replacement

If your card includes SNAP benefits or Cash Assistance you can go to an Over-The-Counter (OTC) site with your valid photo ID for a same day replacement of your card.
