Boiler Inspection Notice of Violation

The Department of Buildings (DOB) will issue violation notices to property owners when a boiler inspection is not performed and filed with DOB during the annual inspection cycle period.

The 2014 Inspection Cycle is from January 1 to December 31, 2014.

 

If an inspection was performed during the inspection cycle period and filed with DOB, you must provide a copy of the inspection report and cashed check as proof that this violation was issued in error. Owners may need to contact their licensed professional to obtain a copy of the inspection report and the cashed check.

• Email a scanned copy of the inspection report and cashed check (front and back) to BoilersInfo@buildings.nyc.gov
• Bring a copy of the inspection report and cashed check (front and back) to:

NYC Department of Buildings Customer Service Center
280 Broadway, 4th Floor (between Chambers and Reade Streets)
New York, NY 10007

If an inspection was not performed during the inspection cycle period, you must pay a civil penalty of $1,000. Payment must be made by certified check or money order, in US dollars, payable to NYC Department of Buildings. Payment may be made in person or mailed to:
