Foster or Adopted Child Assistance

The City provides support for foster and adopted youth in the areas of education, employment, youth leadership, building adulthood skills, and housing.

Young adults between the ages 14 to 21, who are in the foster care system can get referrals and resources to prepare themselves for working, or help them function better in their current job. They can also get help with the college admissions process. The College Assistance Program links young adults with counselors and peers who offer help with finding the right college, the admissions process, and financial aid package preparation.
