NYC Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan

The Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan allows the City to use funds from the Federal government to launch initiatives to provide relief to homeowners and small businesses that have extensive damage and expenses as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

The City has proposed an amendment to the plan. Amendment 16 proposes that needs assessments, descriptions, and timelines be updated for some disaster recovery and rebuilding fund programs and initiatives. It also proposes that funds be reallocated from some programs to others.

A public hearing to discuss the amendment was held on September 27.

The comment period is now open. Anyone can submit comments about the proposed changes to the plan. All comments will be reviewed and a City response will be incorporated into the document. Comments must be received by November 3, 2017.

You can review the proposed amendment online or get a paper copy from the NYC Office of Management and Budget. Paper copies are available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese (simplified), as well as in large-print format, at:
