The City accepts reports of potential infestations of trees by Asian Longhorned Beetles.
The Asian Longhorned Beetle is an invasive beetle that causes the death of infested trees. Potential infestations should be reported immediately. This season's chemical treatment for Asian Longhorned Beetle began in the quarantined zones of Brooklyn and Queens in April. To control the population and spread of the destructive beetle, publicly and privately owned susceptible tree species will be treated. If you have questions regarding the chemical treatment of trees in Brooklyn and Queens, call (866) 265-0301. For questions about the treatment of trees in Staten Island, please call (866) BEETLE1.
