Street Activity or Parade Permit

The City evaluates permit applications for events on City streets and sidewalks, including:
  • Street fairs
  • Festivals
  • Block parties 
  • Green markets
  • Public arts projects
  • Commercial/promotional events
Different processes and rules apply depending on the type, size, and location of the event. You must submit a notarized application at least 2 weeks before the event.

If your event requires a loud speaker, megaphone, or other sound device, you need a Sound Device Permit. The application fee starts at $45 but varies based on the number of days you need it. Submit the permit application at the local precinct where the event will take place.
