Hepatitis B Test

There is a test for Hepatitis B. The Health Department recommends a test for people at risk including:

• Pregnant women
• People who were born, or whose parents were born, in a part of the world where Hepatitis B is common (Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle East, South East Asia, South America, and the Caribbean)
• Children of Hepatitis B-positive mothers
• Household members of people living with Hepatitis B
• People who inject drugs
• Sexual partners of people with Hepatitis B
• People who have had more than one sexual partner in the last 6 months
• Men who have sex with men
• People with HIV or a who have had an STD
