Real Property Income and Expense (RPIE) Filing Information

The Real Property Income and Expense (RPIE) statement is used by the Department of Finance to determine the value and property tax for certain income-producing properties. The deadline to file RPIE-2016 was June 1, 2017.

If you own an income-producing property with an assessed value of more than $40,000, you must file an RPIE unless:

  • you are excluded by law, or
  • the property was purchased after May 1, 2017

If you do not file an RPIE or file after the deadline, you will face a penalty.
