ACS Commissioner Meets With Bronx Foster Parents

ACS Commissioner Ronald E. Richter met with foster parents in the Bronx at the invitation of the Mott Haven Community Partnership program on Wednesday, January 11 at Public School 70. The meeting, hosted by Mott Haven, included the Concourse Village Circle of Support Group and the Highbridge and Soundview Community Partnerships. The Community Partnerships program is a collaboration among ACS, various city agencies and community-based organizations to further the Agency’s safety and permanency goals for children and families.

The Circle of Support foster parent support groups help promote a positive environment for foster, adoptive and kinship parents by increasing the level of community support through information sharing, networking, and building lasting relationships. The Commissioner presented child advocacy awards to foster parents Henrietta Jones and Grace Zarate, for their service to children in foster care.
