Follow the steps below to find out if you are eligible and how to enroll your child in care.

EarlyLearn NYC Child Care program enrollment

Step 1. Complete an application and submit it with required documents to the EarlyLearn NYC program of your choice. Get an application online or at any EarlyLearn NYC location.

Step 2. If you are eligible, you will receive a notice by mail confirming your eligibility and information about the cost to you. If you are not eligible, you will get a notice explaining why.

Step 3. If your child is approved for a seat in an EarlyLearn NYC center, ACS and the program will contact you about when your child can begin attending. If your child is eligible, but the program has no vacancies, you may be placed on a waiting list.

You can contact other EarlyLearn NYC centers in your area to find out if you are able to receive care without waiting.

EarlyLearn NYC Head Start program enrollment

Step 1. Visit the EarlyLearn NYC Head Start program of your choice and get an application. Find a program close to you

Step 2. Complete an application and submit it along with required documents to the EarlyLearn NYC Head Start program of your choice. Required documents include proof of the child’s age and proof of income which can be a TANF or SSI benefit letter.

Step 3. The EarlyLearn NYC Head Start program will notify you if your child is eligible and if there is a seat available. If your child is eligible, but the program has no vacancies, you may be placed on a waiting list. The program will notify you of your child’s start date.
