Local Development Corporation of East New York

Services: Provide assistance to businesses in acquiring real estate, financing, tax abatement, utility and labor cost reductions, and other economic development incentive programs. Provides financial and technical assistance to 11207 existing and start-up minority and women-owned businesses (MWOB) in Brooklyn. Provides business and technical support, and entrepreneurial support to companies in the Industrial Parks, the Economic Development Zone and throughout East Brooklyn. The East Brooklyn Economic Development Zone is made up of four areas: the East Brooklyn Industrial Park and 12 adjoining residential blocks; the commercial strip along Atlantic Avenue; the North Twin Pines Industrial Park; and the Fairfield Industrial Park and 24 adjoining residential blocks.

Pitkin Avenue Business Improvement District (BID)

Services/Boundaries: BID covers 15 blocks on Pitkin Avenue from Howard Avenue to Mother Gaston Boulevard and on Rockaway Avenue between Glenmore and Belmont Avenues. It is comprised of over 275 businesses with a variety of goods and services.
