Memoranda of Understanding

Local Law 40 of 2011 requires agencies to post certain memoranda of understanding ("MOUs") and similar agreements among governmental agencies on the Commission's website. The Commission also posts MOUs and similar agreements with non-governmental entities. The MOUs and similar agreements may be viewed below.

Interagency MOUs

  • May 1, 2017 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to promote Cultural Diversity public education campaign.
  • October 14, 2016 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development to promote Fair Housing.
  • October 12, 2016: Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications for technology services.
  • September 23, 2016 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights, NYC Department for the Aging, and Reserve, Inc.
  • May 13, 2016 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development to promote Fair Housing.
  • April 15, 2016 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to promote Executive Order Number 16 on single-sex facility access.
  • October 2, 2015 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to promote the Stop Credit Discrimination in Employment Act and the Fair Chance Act.

  • July 29, 2011 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and The Trustees of Columbia University in the City of New York to launch a testing study on Housing Discrimination.

  • April 12, 2017 - Agreement between NYC Commission on Human Rights and the Islamic Center at New York University for training workshops regarding the Islamic Faith
  • March 31, 2016 - Agreement between NYC Commission on Human Rights and BLS Legal Services, Corp. regarding provision of limited scope legal services to complainants who seek to file complaints with the Commission.
  • January 29, 2016 - Agreement between the NYC Commission on Human Rights and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center regarding "Working with Transgender Individuals" workshops.
