Event Calendar

DCA participates in many community events to address consumer and worker issues and attends industry events to help businesses understand City laws, including licensing and workplace regulations. Unless otherwise noted, posted events are open to the public and a DCA representative will be available to answer your questions and distribute materials on our key issues such as the Paid Sick Leave Law, financial empowerment programs, business inspection checklists, and consumer tips.

To implement Local Laws 145 and 146, DCA seeks to amend Section 6-12 of Subchapter B, Chapter 6, of Title 6 of the Rules of the City of New York, to update the fixed penalties for the violations of the laws and rules related to cigarette retail dealers, which are now called tobacco retail dealers.

DCA is proposing rule amendments to reduce regulatory burdens, increase equity, support small businesses, and simplify and update content to help support public understanding and compliance. DCA is proposing to amend several rules in chapters 1 and 2 of title 6 of the Rules of the City of New York (“RCNY”) relating to bond requirements, newsstands, electronic and home appliance service dealers, and storage warehouses.
