New York Hall of Science & STEAM at NYSCI’s 1st Annual High School Resource Fair

On Saturday November 4th 2017, the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC) Steam Initiatives participated in the 1st Annual High School Fair at the New York Hall of Science in Queens. The New York Hall of Science hosted approximately 220 Middle School and High School students along with their parents to speak with local High school representatives and learn about specialized high school programs. Students received information on the NYC DDC’S High School Internship Program and how to apply for this Summer’s 2018 co-hort. Students and families watched program videos of DDC STEAM High School Internship, and had their questions answered directly by STEAM Team members Jillian Ramos and Suellen Fonseca. Students from all five boroughs learned about pipeline opportunities across DDC departments in Public buildings and Infrastructure.

STEAM Coordinator Jillian Ramos (pictured) and Suellen Fonseca invited students and families to learn about DDC’s High School Summer Internship Program.
