Twenty-Second Annual Awards for Excellence in Design, July 12, 2004

In 2004, in addition to honoring the 22nd Annual Awards for Excellence in Design winners, the Mayor and the Art Commission announced the Design and Construction Excellence Initiative, created to encourage City agencies to strive for the same level of excellence in design for all public works—large and small—that is recognized annually by the Art Commission's awards.
