Notice of Public Availability and Access to Records

In accordance with the requirements of 43 RCNY § 1-08 (a) implementing the New York State Freedom of Information Law, please follow  the procedures below to access the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development ("DYCD")records:

Procedures for Requesting and Inspecting Records

All Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests to DYCD should be submitted via NYC OpenRecords (nyc.gov/openrecords). Select “DYCD” from the agency dropdown menu. Please indicate the nature, content, and date of the record in sufficient detail to enable its identification.

Questions about specific requests should also be made through NYC OpenRecords by using the “Contact the Agency” link available on every request page.

Any record requested will be made available for review within a reasonable time after receipt of the request.

You will be contacted to schedule an appointment to review and copy records, when available. Records may be reviewed only in the presence of the Department’s Records Access Officer.

Location and Time of Availability of Records

Records are available for public review and copying, upon appointment, on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at:

Copying Fees

The fees for copying of records shall be:

  1. .25 cents per page, OR
  2. Actual costs of reproduction
