The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish.

DYCD contracts with various community-based organizations that provide services and activities for youth and low-income populations.


Procurement Title :  City University of New York (CUNY) family development training Program

In accordance with Section 3-13(d)(1) of the Procurement Policy Board Rules, The Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) intends to contract with the City University of New York (CUNY) to provide family development trainings for frontline and supervisors representing nonprofit and community based organizations throughout the five boroughs. Trainings will be offered in 23 CUNY campuses across New York City. The term of this contract shall be from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2020 with an option to renew for up to three years for an anticipated contract value of $855,000.00.

Procurement Title:  Young Adult Literacy Programs -Technical Assistance

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) wishes to enter into negotiations with Workforce Professional Training Institute (WPTI) through Fund for the City of New York  for continued support and maintenance of curriculum developed by WPTI. This curriculum was developed by WPTI to help support the Young Adult Literacy Programs (YALP) Bridge program that was launched back in fiscal Year 2016. Therefore, DYCD has determined that it is in the best interest to enter into negotiations with the curriculum developers through a negotiated Acquisition given their extensive knowledge of the program and curriculum. The term of the contract shall be July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, with no option to renew. The  anticipated contract amount shall be $90,000.00.
