  • Communities that post high water mark signs must conduct ongoing education and complete mitigation actions to build community resilience against future flooding.
  • The requesting party is solely responsible for any needed permits or approvals for posting these signs, and is responsible for installing the signs.
  • Inundation levels must have reached at least 4 feet during Hurricane Sandy to be applicable for a sign.
