NOTICE: Effective 10/15/2019, all Emergency Planning and Preparedness plans must be filed online. FDNY will no longer accept paper-based applications.

Plan Reviews and Systems Approval

The Fire Department certifies (reviews and approves) plans. There are different forms needed for the Plan Review and Systems Approval Process.


Plan Application Status

NOTICE: Check the status of your Comprehensive Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plan, Fire Safety and Evacuation Plan, Fire Protection Plan and High-Rise Residential (Non-Sequential Floors) BIC online through FDNY Business.

Status is available online for all new Plans and Amendments that have been filed or are saved as a draft in FDNY Business.

To check the status of Emergency Planning and Preparedness plans filed prior to 10/15/2019, please contact your Plan Examiner and/or an EPPG representative.


Fire Alarms

To have an As Built Fire Alarm Plan reviewed by the Fire Department, follow these steps.

Until further notice, Fire Alarm As-Built resubmissions must continue to be delivered by hand to 9 MetroTech on Thursdays between 8 am and 12 pm.

In-Building Auxiliary Radio Communication Systems

To have an In-Building Auxiliary Radio Communication Systems Application reviewed by the Fire Department, follow these steps.

When completed, forms can be submitted online through FDNY Business.


Inspections and On-Site Tests

Once plans are acted on, a follow-up inspection and/or on-site test is needed to ensure compliance.
