To dispute a parking ticket, you must request a hearing within 30 days after the ticket was issued to avoid paying late penalties. Contacting anyone other than the Department of Finance does not put the deadline on hold. You must meet all deadlines. If you request a hearing after 30 days and an Administrative Law Judge finds you guilty, you will have to pay late penalties.

If we do not receive payment for the ticket or a hearing request from you, then approximately 100 days after your ticket is issued, it will go into judgment. You cannot get a hearing on your ticket in judgment if it is more than one year old.

After the online hearing, an Administrative Law Judge’s decision will be emailed back to the email address you supplied. If you are asked to send additional evidence (e.g., an Adjournment), follow the instructions on the Hearings-by-Mail page.

Once your hearing is complete, you have the right to Appeal a Hearing Decision.

Do not dispute the ticket if you believe the ticket was Already Paid or Dismissed.
