HPD announced that $1.65 million will be granted to create and expand Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in New York City through Enterprise's new Community Land Trusts Capacity Building Initiative. Awardees include Interboro CLT, Cooper Square CLT, East Harlem / El Barrio CLT, and the New York City Community Land Initiative.

Lower Concourse North RFEI

NYCEDC in partnership with HPD announced the designation of the Lower Concouse North Site that will deliver up to 1,000 units of housing, world-class open space on the Harlem River Waterfront, and cultural destinations. The winning project, Bronx Point, will be developed by a joint venture between L+M Development Partners and Type A Projects, a woman-owned emerging development firm.

NextGeneration NYCHA - 100% Affordable Housing Development Sites RFP

On January 25, 2018, NYCHA announced the designation of developers under its 100 Percent Affordable program for Sites 2 and 3. The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and HPD are currently reviewing proposals from a Prequalified List (PQL) for NYCHA's 100 Percent Affordable program for Sites 1 and 4.

Site 1 - Morrisania Air Rights, Bronx
Site 2 - Sumner Houses, Brooklyn

NYCHA NextGen Neighborhoods RFP

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and HPD have announced the designation of Site 1 - Wyckoff Gardens in the Upper East Side of Manhattan to Fetner Properties, and the designation of Site 2 - Holmes Tower to the Arker Comapanies and Two Trees. The goal of the RFP is for fifty percent of the units to be affordable housing. In addition to creating much needed affordable housing, this program will leverage development to generate revenue for critical needs to serve current NYCHA residents.

Mott-Elizabeth Streets RFP

HPD and HDC announced development plans for 121 new deeply affordable and energy-efficient senior apartments and public space in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan. Haven Green. Haven Green will be developed by Penrose Properties, LLC, Habitat for Humanity New York City (Habitat NYC), and RiseBoro Community Partnerships, Inc.

Hunter's Point South Parcels F&G RFP

HPD announced the designation of two sites, referred to Parcels F and G, in Hunter's Point South, Queens, that will include the creation of 1,120 apartments with a diverse mix of affordability levels and senior housing. The development will be led by the Gotham Organization and RiseBoro.

Dinsmore-Chestnut RFP

HPD and HDC announced the designation of the Dinsmore-Chestnut site in East New York, Brooklyn, named Chestnut Commons, that will include 274 apartments that will be affordable for formerly homeless, extremely low-, very low-, and low-income households. The development will be led by a joint venture between MHANY Management, the Urban Builders Collaborative, and the Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC).

Former Slaughterhouse Site Redevelopment RFP

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and HPD announced plans to transform the former slaughterhouse site adjacent to Hudson Yards into a mixed-use development that will bring approximately 230 units of affordable housing to the burgeoning area of Manhattan. The site will be developed by Radson Development, in a joint venture with Kingspoint Heights Development.

NextGeneration NYCHA - Mott Haven RFP

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), Housing Development Corporation (HDC), and HPD announced the selection of two teams to develop 100 percent affordable housing apartments for seniors and families at NYCHA's Betances Housing V and VI in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the South Bronx. The development at Betances V will be led by Greaking Gound Housing Development Corporation, and Betances VI by Lemle & Wilff Development Co., Alembic Community Development, and The Bridge.

M/WBE Building Opportunity RFP

HPD invited developers from a Pre-Qualified List (PQL) to submit proposals for one or more of six new construction projects across New York City. HPD announced the designation of the six teams, which will result in the creation of about 440 affordable units, to CB Emmanual Realty, Dabar Development Partners and Thorobird Companies, Macquesten Construction Management, Infinite Horizons LLC, Type A Real Estate Advisors LLC, and Lemor Realty Corporation & Apex Building Group.

NextGeneration NYCHA RFP

NYCHA and HPD announced the designation of three development teams to expand affordable housing opportunities at three NYCHA developments: Ingersoll Houses in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, Van Dyke Houses in the Bronwnsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, and Mill Brook Houses in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx. Van Dyke Houses will be developed by Dunn Development Corp., Ingersoll Houses by BFC Partners, and Mill Brook Houses by West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing (WSFSSH).

425 Grand Concourse RFP

St. Ann's Avenue / East 142nd Street RFP

HPD and HDC announced the selection of The Community Builders, Inc., to develop the site located at St. Ann's Avenue and East 142nd Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx. Flushing Municipal Lot 3 RFP

HPD announced the selection of a joint venture between Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE), HANAC Inc., and Monadnock Development to develop a transit-oriented, mixed-use, and mixed-income development in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens. The team's plan, called One Flushing, will result in the creation of 208 units of very low-income senior housing and multifamily housing that will be affordable to low- and moderate-income families.  

Livonia Avenue Initiative Phase II

HPD announced the selection of BRP Companies, HELP USA, and the Local Development Corporation of East New York (LDC ENY) for Phase II of the Livonia Avenue Initiative in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn. The development team's plan includes four new mixed-use buildings with a total of 288 affordable apartments, a commercial kitchen that will provide culinary training, and a Career Exploration center (CEC) that will provide vocational training to students of the New Visions Charter High School.
