Sea View Healthy Community RFEI

New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), in partnership with NYC Health & Hospitals and in coordination with HPD is currently reviewing proposals for a master-planned, mixed-use community at the historic Sea View Hospital Campus.

Restoring the legacy of the Sea View Hospital Campus, Sea View Healthy Community is a proposed mixed-use, health-focused wellness campus integrating medical care, housing, retail, community facilities, and open space in a setting designed to prevent illnesses and promote healthy lifestyles.


Lower Concourse North RFEI

NYCEDC is currently reviewing submissions for the redevelopment of an approximately 158,000-square-foot site along the Harlem River in the South Bronx. The site is currently vacant and represents a unique opportunity to create an iconic gateway for the southwest Bronx, connect residents to the Harlem River waterfront, and support the growth of the Lower Concourse neighborhood.

The Lower Concourse Infrastructure Investment Strategy is the first step towards spending $200 million in infrastructure money to create jobs, increase access to open space, and build affordable housing in the Lower Concourse neighborhood.

NextGeneration NYCHA - 100% Affordable Housing Development Sites RFP

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and HPD are currently reviewing proposals from a Prequalified List (PQL) for NYCHA's "100 Percent Affordable" program for four new construction projects:

Site 1 - Morisanio Air Rights, Bronx

Site 2 - Sumner Houses, Brooklyn

Site 3 - Twin Parks West, Bronx

Site 4 - Harborview Terrace, Manhattan


Dinsmore-Chestnut RFP

Submission deadline: 3/22/2017

HPD is currently reviewing submissions for a new construction project in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn. The site, bounded by Atlantic Avenue, Chestnut Street, and Dinsmore Place, must be an affordable housing development that meets the economic needs of the community, include quality commercial and/or community facility uses, and affirmatively furthers fair housing. Affordable housing may including multifamily, senior, and/or supportive housing.

The site is one of the last remaining large plots of vacant City-owned land in the City. Plans for the development of this site were shaped by community input through the Dinsmore-Chestnut Community Visioning Workshop series in June 2016. Applicants were strongly encouraged to refer to the report summarizing community visions.


Beach 21st Street RFP

NYCEDC and HPD are currently reviewing submissions for the long-term ground lease and development of the approximately 42,500-square-foot site in the center of Downtown Far Rockaway. The project is an exciting opportunity to create a mixed-use development as one of the first steps in the comprehensive revitalization on Downtown Far Rockaway. 


Mott-Elizabeth Streets RFP

HPD is currently reviewing submissions for the new construction project in the Nolita section of Manhattan. The project must include affordable housing for seniors that both meets the economic needs of the community and furthers fair housing by promoting economically diverse neighborhoods. The development must also include quality commercial and/or community facility uses, as well as publicly-accessible open space.

The Site is owned by the City of New York and located near the intersection of Mott Street and Spring Street in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan within Community District 2 (Block 493, Lot 30). The project must include affordable housing for seniors that both meets the economic needs of the community and furthers fair housing by promoting economically diverse neighborhoods. The development must also include quality commercial and/or community facility uses, as well publicly-accessible open space.


NYCHA NextGen Neighborhoods RFP

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and HPD are currently reviewing proposals for two new construction projects in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn, known as "Site 1 - Wyckoff Gardens" and in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, known as "Site 2 - Holmes Tower." The goal of the RFP is for fifty percent of the units to be affordable housing. In addition to creating much needed affordable housing, this program will leverage development to generate revenue for critical needs to serve current NYCHA residents.


Hunter's Point South Parcels F & G RFP

HPD is currently reviewing proposals for a new construction project in the Hunter's Point South section of Queens. The goal is to develop a mixed-use, mixed-income development that will expand affordable housing opportunities in the neighborhood.

The development of the Hunter’s Point South’s seven total parcels is a comprehensive, multi-agency approach to neighborhood planning intended to revitalize a long-underused and neglected area of Long Island City. The mixed-use development of the area was conceptualized to provide much-needed affordable housing, infrastructure systems, and neighborhood amenities necessary to build a diverse, livable community. Once complete, the Hunter’s Point South development will be the largest affordable housing development in New York City since the early 1970s.

NIHOP & NCP RFQ

HPD is currently reviewing submissions for Round 3 of the NIHOP & NCP RFQ. HPD announced the selection of developers for Rounds 1 and 2 of the NIHOP & NCP RFQ. The developments will be financed through HPD's New Infill Homeownership Opportunities Program (NIHOP) and the Neighborhood Construction Program (NCP).


Third Party Transfer Program Round X, Multifamily Preservation Loan Program RFQ

HPD is currently reviewing submissions for the rehabilitation and management of multifamily residential properties through the agency's Third Party Transfer (TPT) Program, Multifamily Preservation Loan Program (MPLP), and Rental Special Project.


Primary Prevention Program RFQ

Submission deadline: 3/9/2017

HPD is currently reviewing submissions in response to the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grant of 2017 by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The grant provides funding of HPD's Primary Prevention Program (PPP). PPP offers federally funded grants for lead treatment to owners of single and multifamily buildings constructed prior to 1960. 


Monitor of Housing Development Fund Corporation Cooperatives RFQ

HPD is currently reviewing submissions for qualified not-for-profit and for-profit organizations to participate in the monitoring of Housing Development Fund Corporation (HDFC) cooperatives created through HPD's Affordable Neighborhood Cooperative Program (ANCP), Third Party Transfer (TPT) Tenant Petition Program, and HDFC cooperatives that already exist under the review of HPD's Office of Asset Management and are entering into new regulatory agreements with HPD.
