Housing Ambassadors

HPD partners with community-based service providers in New York City who help people prepare and apply for affordable housing. The tables below provide information about the Housing Ambassadors and Housing Ambassadors for People with Disabilities. We partner with these Housing Ambassadors to help provide up-to-date, consistent information and assistance about the application process to communities, and we encourage people to contact them for guidance.

Ready to Rent

Ready to Rent is an exciting collaboration between participating Housing Ambassadors and financial services provider, Ariva, through June 2017, to reach more New Yorkers about New York City's affordable housing opportunities and to assist in applying and preparing for the lotteries. Learn more

Housing Ambassadors for People with Disabilities

HPD is developing relationships with organizations that serve people with disabilities. The purpose of the ambassador program for people with disabilities is to close existing gaps in service to applicants for affordable housing, and to forge supportive relationships between HPD and the disability advocacy community. Having a dedicated group listed as ‘Housing Ambassadors for People with Disabilities’ should not limit people with disabilities to work with any other ambassador organization on this page. However, our ambassadors for people with disabilities will only be serving people with disabilities. We are happy to be partnering with the following organizations, and look forward to growing the program.
