HISTORY OF Fraternal Order of Police
The Fraternal Order of Police was founded in 1915 by two Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania patrol officers, Martin Toole and Delbert Nagle. They and 21 other members of the Pittsburgh Police met on May 14, 1915, establishing the Fraternal Order of Police its first local, Fort Pitt Lodge #1.

ABOUT FOP – NYC CORRECTION LODGE 89
The Fraternal Order of Police, NYC Correction Lodge 89 was chartered by the State & Grand Lodges and is a non-profit organization. It is composed of law enforcement officers from NYC Correction, NYC Police, NYS Correction, NYS Police, and Federal Law Enforcement department(s).

The Lodge is incorporated in and under the laws of the State of New York as a non-profit corporation as of July 21, 1994.

The Fraternal Order of Police is strictly non-sectarian, and shall have no application directly or indirectly with any labor union, congress, federation or committee of like nature, or similar organization by whatever name known.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Fraternal Order of Police - NYC Correction Lodge 89, shall be to provide its members with the opportunity to support and interact with its brothers and sisters of law enforcement. We will encourage and promote friendships, participate in charity, fraternal, and civic events.
