    On International Women's Day, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Deputy Mayor Alicia Glen, NYC Department of Small Business Services Commissioner Gregg Bishop, and Council Member Helen Rosenthal announced that more than $280,000 in zero-interest loans has been pledged to women entrepreneurs through the City's crowdfunding partnership with Kiva.

    The program will allow small business owners to obtain free legal assistance on topics that include negotiating a lease, resolving landlord issues, responding to an eviction notice, breach of contract disputes, and lease renewal. Non-franchise businesses that meet income requirements are eligible for this service.
