Do you play a significant role in your community?

Are you a teacher? A religious leader? A trusted adviser or community organizer? Coach? Child care worker? Parent?

There are so many different kinds of leaders in New York City.

But what you all have in common is that the people around you turn to you, for help and advice.

You are what we call a 'trusted community partner'. That means you're often the first to hear when someone is facing a mental health challenge.

Helping people with mental health challenges is a big responsibility, and we don't want you to face it alone. That is why we've created the Thrive Learning Center (Thrive LC).

Thrive LC is a source of mental health information that you can come back to again and again - in order to build your knowledge and skills. It will help you be more effective in your community, by showing you how to help others:

  • address their mental health challenges
  • better address their substance misuse
  • practice self-care to promote mental health

Remember, we share your goal – to build stronger and more resilient communities in New York City.
