Final Reminder For Facade Inspection Report Deadline

Owners of buildings higher than six stories in height still have time to file their required Facade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) Sub-Cycle 9A inspection reports before the deadline next Monday, February 21, at 11:59 pm.

The upcoming Sub-Cycle 9A deadline for this program specifically includes properties that are located on a block number that ends with 4, 5, 6, or 9.

These reports must be filed with the Department to determine whether the exterior walls and appurtenance of the building are in good condition, or whether repairs must be made in the interest of public safety. Property owners who fail to file their required FISP report to the Department will face monthly penalties, until the report is submitted.

Deadline Approaching For FAIRER Program

There is still time for New Yorkers with unpaid OATH judgments to have related violation penalties reduced by up to 75%, thanks to the NYC Department of Finance's FAIRER program.

The Fine and Interest Reduction Enabling Recovery (FAIRER) Program is running until March 20, 2022, and allows New Yorkers the opportunity to pay a reduced amount for eligible OATH/ECB judgments if the violations are certified as corrected with DOB.

Any respondent - an individual or business named on a violation - may participate in the FAIRER Program. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to correct violations at your property and pay reduced amounts for previously issued judgments.

For questions about a DOB-issued violation, contact the Department's Administrative Enforcement Unit at (212) 393-2405 or contact us online.
