Small Business Owners Get After Hours Assistance

On April 14th, the Department began offering weekly after hour services to small business owners. The program is a collaborative endeavor with Small Business Services and a product of Small Business First, a comprehensive plan to streamline the City's regulatory requirements for small business owners.

Tuesdays 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Thanks Small Business First!

To kickoff Small Business Owners Night, Commissioner Chandler visited Red Pipe Organic Cafe, a new business which benefited from the services provided by Small Business First. Red Pipe Organic opened last October after receiving assistance with plan reviews and inspections from various agencies through the Small Business First program. The cafe saved approximately twenty-one days on opening!

Commissioner Addresses Construction Industry

Construction Safety Week 2015 launched on Monday, April 27 with our annual Build Safe │ Live Safe Conference where Commissioner Chandler emphasized the Department's obligation to safe construction in the city.

Once again tickets for this daylong series of seminars were sold out! Department experts led dynamic presentations to over three hundred attendees about the significance of adhering to site safety regulations. Professional credit was available. We hope to see you next year!

2015-003: Supercedes BB 2010-006 and establishes acceptance criteria for pre-combustion, non-additive fuel oil catalyst reformers.

2015-004: Supercedes BB 2010-030 and establishes acceptance criteria for a hinged plastic no-hub.
