Xavier Mission

Xavier Mission thrift shop

Xavier Mission has served New Yorkers in need since 1983. Begun by parishioners of the Church of St. Francis Xavier in Chelsea, Manhattan, Xavier Mission incorporated as an independent nonprofit organization in 2012, with outreach programs supplying clients with donated clothing, hot meals, free groceries, financial assistance, overnight shelter, and a life-skills, training and empowerment program.

donateNYC Partner Fact: Xavier Mission provided shelter for more than 3,500 men in 2014 and distributed clothing to 2,113 individuals.

Accepted: Please call ahead to ensure that your donation can be accepted.

(All donations must be gently used or new; no ripped, faded, frayed, or stained items; socks and underwear must be new.)

  • Towels
  • Toiletries (Travel sizes preferred of Combs, Conditioner, Deodorant, Shampoo, Soap, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste)
  • Underwear

Not Accepted: Any broken, damaged, or incomplete materials.
