2017 Partnership Conference
Design. Repair. Reuse. Collaborate. | Developing NYC’s Circular Economy
The 10th annual donateNYC Partnership Conference, presented by NYC Center for Materials Reuse and funded by NYC Department of Sanitation, will provide an opportunity for local, nonprofit donations and reuse organizations to come together to discuss best practices, shared challenges, and explore collaboration opportunities with one another as well as other local entities.
The 2017 donateNYC Partnership Conference will focus on the concept of a circular economy and the essential role donations and reuse play in developing one. This year’s conference agenda will explore product repair and the need for designing goods more thoughtfully for longevity. Participants will obtain information and insight into further developing a closed-loop system right here in New York City, an essential aspect in achieving zero waste. This year’s conference will be held on Tuesday, June 6th, from 10am to 4pm. For more information, please contact us.

New York Cares Day
donateNYC partner New York Cares Begins Preparations for their Annual New York Cares Day Spring.
donateNYC partner New York Cares is now accepting registrations for their annual day of volunteerism, New York Cares Day Spring. New York Cares Day Spring seeks to celebrate the power of volunteerism in NYC by shining a spotlight on the enormous impact volunteers have in communities across the five boroughs and, by bringing together 4,000 caring New Yorkers to serve in public parks and community gardens, hopes to be a call to all residents to either give their time to others or support those who do.
Volunteers can now register their teams comprised of co-workers, neighbors, family, or fellow alumni, and begin fundraising to support New York Cares' efforts to mobilize 64,000 New Yorkers in volunteer service every year. The campaign will culminate in a huge day of volunteering on April 22, where the 4,000 volunteers and fundraisers will descend on 40-plus public spaces all over NYC.
