During the COVID-19 public health crisis, New York City is taking steps to make sure every New Yorker has access to the food they need.

Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a temporary federal food benefit program for families to buy food to make up for school meals that were missed while students were enrolled in remote/blended learning. Benefits can be used anywhere EBT/SNAP are accepted, including most retail food stores and farmers markets.

Families can expect $820-1300 for the 2020-2021 school year, exact amounts will vary based on the number of days a student was learning remotely each month

Emergency Home Food Delivery

It has been an honor to serve New Yorkers with culturally appropriate, nutritious meals over the last eighteen months of the COVID-19 public health crisis. Even as the City reopens, we maintain our commitment to ensuring that no New Yorker will go hungry due to the pandemic.

The COVID Emergency Home Food Delivery (EFD) program is concluding. Orders will be accepted through October 1st.

If you will still be in need of food assistance from the City beyond October, please call 311 and provide your full name, phone number and email address so that we can connect you to available resources and programs.
