Dream
Dream is an East Harlem nonprofit that features a year-round afterschool and summer program with practices, conflict-resolution workshops, and peer mentoring for kids 7 to 18. The summer Real Kids program combines literacy training with arts projects, coed baseball practice, and field trips.
Police Athletic League
The Police Athletic League has a century-long history of bringing together the police and the community through friendly sports competition. NYPD’s Community Affairs officers, along with volunteer police officers from around the City, work closely with the Police Athletic League to coach, mentor and compete in athletic contests with community youth, allowing all participants to develop positive and lasting relationships. Cops and Kids leagues serve boys and girls throughout the year in sports including:
Softball (Age 14-19)
Soccer (Age 14-19)
Basketball (Age 14-19)
Volleyball (Age 14-19)
Flag Football (Age 14-19)
City Parks Tennis
City Parks Tennis provides free tennis instruction to thousands of kids ages 6 -17 each year in more than 36 parks throughout the five boroughs. Beginner tennis classes are usually divided into three 1-hour sessions, depending on the number of participants and available courts at the park. On the first day of class, you should plan your arrival based on the age of your child. Pee Wee's (6-8 years old) are typically the first hour, followed by ages 9-12 and then 13-17. More advanced instruction for intermediate-level players is also available at select sites. Once the program is underway, the site director will provide more specific schedule information for that park.
NYC Parks Summer Day Camp
NYC Parks Summer Day Camp provides an exciting chance for children ages 6 to 13 to have a fun-filled summer! Campers engage in sports, fitness, and outdoor adventures while taking part in many of New York City’s rich cultural and educational opportunities.
Activities include arts and crafts, field games, sports clinics, computer classes, STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), cultural and educational trips, and nature exploration with the Urban Park Rangers. Specific activities, dates, and trip destinations will depend upon the camp location. Currently, swimming is not a guaranteed activity for NYC Parks Summer Camp. Our summer camp program is extremely popular, and in order to make sure that we can accommodate children as fairly as possible, registration is conducted through a lottery.

Cost:
Regular Day Camp Cost (9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday): $500 per child for seven weeks
Extended Day Camp Cost (8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday - Friday): $575 per child for seven weeks
