A Storm Approaching The Department of Environmental Protection
Urges Residents to Help Minimize Street Flooding
Call
311 for Fastest Service
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection urged
New Yorkers to help prepare for the tropical depression that could
hit the City today by clearing leaves and debris from around catch
basins.
Residents should also check the gutter in front of their homes
and clear away any obstructions that may block the flow of water
down the street.
The DEP also advises New Yorkers who are affected by flooding
to call the City’s 24-hour Help Line at 311. This is the
fastest way to get assistance from the City.
