Alternate Side Parking Regulations Reinstated in Portions of Brooklyn Community Board 6
Regulations reinstated east of Hamilton Avenue
Previously announced suspensions in Brooklyn Community Board 6 west of Hamilton Avenue as well as Brooklyn Community Boards 13,15 and 18 and Queens Community Board 14 continue until further notice
The New York City Department of Transportation today announced that Alternate Side Parking (ASP) regulations are reinstated, effective immediately, in the portion of Brooklyn Community Board 6 east of, but not including, Hamilton Avenue (see map). This was done at the request of the Department of Sanitation and in consultation with Community Board 6 upon review of conditions elsewhere in the district.
ASP regulations are reinstated in the portion of Brooklyn Community Board 6 east of Hamilton Avenue, including the neighborhoods of Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Gowanus, Boerum Hill and Cobble Hill. The area is delimited by Hamilton Avenue on the west, Atlantic Avenue, Court Street, Fourth Avenue, Warren and Pacific Streets on the north, Prospect Park on the east and 15th Street and the Gowanus Canal on the south.
ASP remains suspended in the portion of Community Board 6 west of and including Hamilton Avenue, covering the neighborhood of Red Hook. The area is delimited by the East River, Upper New York Bay, Gowanus Creek and Hamilton Avenue.
Previously announced suspensions remain in effect in the portion of Brooklyn Community Boards 6 west of, and including, Hamilton Avenue and in Brooklyn Community Boards 13, 15 and 18 and Queens Community Board 14 until further notice to facilitate ongoing storm recovery efforts in areas with some of the most extensive damage. ASP regulations in other areas of the city were reinstated as of Wednesday, Nov. 14 in order to allow for necessary street maintenance.
