NYC DOT, Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities, and Other Officials to Celebrate Access to Independence Day and Discuss Efforts to Expand Accessibility in the Five Boroughs
EVENT: New York City Department of Transportation (DOT), Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD), New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC), Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), and other agencies celebrate Access to Independence Day, a transportation expo to educate the community about various accessible transportation options available in the city. They will also discuss efforts to expand accessibility in the five boroughs.

The Expo runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Columbus Park Plaza, north side (near Cadman Plaza West and Johnson Street), downtown Brooklyn.
VISUALS: Dozens of tables with accessibility transportation information from various agencies and organizations. There will also be demonstrations of various transit vehicles.
