MAYOR GIULIANI'S STATEMENT ON NEW YORK APPLE TOURS

"We are deeply disappointed that the Appellate Division has disregarded both the State's and City's determination that New York Apple Tours is unfit to operate safely. Moreover, on June 14, while New York Apple Tours' license was under suspension, the Department of Consumer Affairs charged the company with deceptive trade practices regarding questionable ticket sales, further demonstrating the company's inability to operate within the law.

"Next week the Department of Consumer Affairs will continue the administrative hearing, begun last April, that seeks to revoke permanently New York Apple Tours' license and cease its operation. The New York City Police Department, Department of Consumer Affairs and Department of Transportation will vigilantly enforce all applicable laws and regulations in order to preserve public safety."
