"It was an unfortunate and serious mistake made by adults to misrepresent the age of one of the team members. That decision sadly hurts all the dedicated young boys who played their hearts out throughout the season, and post-season play. The City has no intention of asking that the keys to the City be returned. It would only add to the hurt and pain that the innocent children of this team are already experiencing. Hopefully all those involved will learn a valuable lesson about the importance of honesty and integrity in sports."
