Job Training and Placement Services for Youth

The City provides employment training and placement services for teens and young adults.

The City offers job-related services for students as well as young adults who do not attend school. The In-School Youth (ISY) and Out-of-School Youth (OSY) programs both include work-readiness training, leadership development, career exploration workshops, instruction and tutoring, support services, and follow-up. The Out-of-School Youth program offers training that will lead to employment opportunities.

The United States Department of Labor's Job Corps is a free education and vocational training program open to select youth. Program participants learn a trade, earn a high school diploma or GED or TASC, and are paid a monthly allowance.
