The City's Youth Connect hotline provides confidential and anonymous telephone assistance for all New Yorkers, particularly young people, their families, and service providers. Youth Connect can also provide referrals.
It provides information on topics such as:
- After-school programs
- Delinquency prevention and youth intervention programs
- Literacy / English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
- Immigrant Services
Youth Connect also offers crisis intervention for runaway and homeless youth.
The City provides drop-in centers in every borough to provide services to runaway, homeless, and troubled youth under the age of 21 as well as their families.
You can get referrals to:
- Health treatment
- Mental health treatment
- Substance abuse treatment
