The IDNYC program offers a photo identification card for all residents of New York City age 10 and older. Applicants ages 10 to 13 must apply with a caretaker. This municipal ID card connects New Yorkers to services, programs, and benefits, regardless of immigration status, homeless status, or gender identity.
Veterans can also request the IDNYC card with a special Veteran Designation that offers exclusive benefits.
You can apply for the card online or in person. All applicants must visit an Enrollment Center to complete the enrollment process. Appointments are currently required to apply for an IDNYC card at all Enrollment Centers. You will need to bring documents to prove your identity and that you live in New York City.
If you require a reasonable accommodation, IDNYC will contact you about your request.
