Homeless Person Complaint

You can report a homeless person who is creating a hazard. This is considered an emergency situation and includes homeless people who are:

  • Outside during a cold weather emergency, such as when a Code Blue is declared
  • Blocking a sidewalk or ATM
  • Outstretched or sleeping in a subway, on the tracks, or in another Transit District area
  • Creating a danger to themselves or others

You can also report a homeless person who repeatedly occupies the same location or establishes an encampment. Officers from your local police precinct will respond when they are not handling emergency situations.
