NYC Hurricane Service Centers

Starting Monday, February 12, the City’s hurricane relief services are being provided at sites in all five boroughs. If you relocated to New York because of a recent hurricane and would like to learn about services and benefits available to you, you can visit one of these Homebase locations.

Homebase will see what services you may be able eligible for. Homebase will send you to a location where you can apply for Cash Assistance or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

Homebase is a community-based program that helps New Yorkers at risk of losing their housing apply for benefits and emergency assistance, and connects them with job opportunities, financial planning, and more to avoid eviction.

Homebase can provide:

  • Assistance obtaining benefits
  • Financial counseling
  • Landlord and family mediation
  • Employment services
  • Referrals to community social services
  • Assistance purchasing furniture or other items if you are living with family or friends
