Safe Construction Bill of Rights for Tenants

If you are a tenant living in a building while construction work is ongoing, the building’s owner is required to post or distribute a Safe Construction Bill of Rights.

The Safe Construction Bill of Rights is a notice that describes the work being conducted and alerts tenants of amenities or essential services that will be unavailable or interrupted during the construction. The notice must be distributed to each tenant, or posted in the lobby and on every floor within 10 feet of every elevator bank or in a building with no elevator, within 10 feet or inside of every main stairwell.
