People and businesses that perform acupuncture must have a license from the New York State Department of Education (NYSDOE).
A full Acupuncture Professional License permits all practice. A Limited Permit allows a person to practice under the supervision of a licensed professional. Professionals can only supervise one person at a time.
Acupuncturists must meet both educational and experiential requirements to get a license.
