After You Apply

After you submit your application

    Upon review, the applicant will receive one of the following:
    • Letter of Deficiency, if any of the requirements for the ARCS Commissioning Test Report are not met. All deficiencies must be corrected and submitted within 6 months from the date listed on the Letter of Deficiency unless otherwise specified. New application fees will apply if the corrections are not submitted within the allocated time.
    • Letter of Acceptance after the application has been approved. Upon receipt of the Letter of Acceptance, contact the Fire Alarm Inspection Unit to schedule a joint inspection with Fire Alarm Inspection Unit and Operations.

      An application shall be deemed abandoned 6 months after receipt of a Letter of Deficiency or if no response is received to Additional Information Requested.

        A Recertification Test must be performed and submitted to the Department in accordance with 3 RCNY 511-01 section G.4 no less than once every five (5) years.
